Antonio Cassano might make his comeback after heart surgery in Milan-Fiorentina today. “With this enthusiasm I could fly on to the field.”
The striker has been out of action since suffering a mini-stroke on October 29 and underwent surgery to correct a congenital heart defect a few days later.
He was given the all-clear by a panel of medics this week and is in the Rossoneri squad for this afternoon’s match with Fiorentina.
“I missed the everyday training sessions with my teammates, pre-match get-togethers, tension of game situations, but at the same time I was happy to stay home with my wife and son,” Cassano told Mediaset.
“If (Coach Massimiliano) Allegri tells me to come off the bench, then with this enthusiasm I could fly on to the field.”
