New Milan signing Mario Balotelli has claimed that it is 'a dream' to join the Rossoneri.

The 22-year-old signed for the San Siro side in a deal worth around €21m from Manchester City.

And the Italy international has conceded that he is delighted to be home, whilst also commenting on his time in England and relationship with President Silvio Berlusconi.

“It is a real honour to be here,” he told a Press conference. “I have always wanted to play for Milan,

“I want to be an important player for this club. Being here really is a dream – however, I'd rather let me football do the talking.

“I would have liked to have joined earlier, but I am here now.

“I also want to thank the City fans – they always supported me, no matter what. I will always remember training with my teammates there, and the matches.

“The rest though, I will not miss. The Premier League is a great League, but I am only thinking of this adventure.

“The President has apologized for calling me a rotten apple,” he added. “But I did not hear anything anyway. I have never voted in any election, and I'm not ashamed of that.

“Anyway, it's a dream to play here. I've wanted this for a long time, and now I just want to play.”
