Speaking at a Press conference ahead of his side’s meeting with Costa Rica tomorrow, Prandelli admitted that while Balotelli has been an important weapon for Italy at times, there have been others when he has not deserved his place in Brazil.
“Over these four years he has been the weapon at certain moments,” the tactician told the gathered media. “During others he shouldn’t have been coming to the World Cup!
“The important thing is that he is concentrated and he does the same things that he did in the last match.
“He is one of the 23 resources, he can be important and decisive. But, as in the last match, he needs to manage himself.”
