The Croatia international will be out of contract in June 2018 and his representative already said many weeks ago that there will be no renewal.
A January exit is therefore on the cards, but so far Roma and Milan have only been linked without entering negotiations.

“Over the last two days of the transfer window I will be in Milan waiting for offers, but at the moment there is nothing concrete,” Dejan Joksimovic told ForzaRoma.info.
Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti has publicly praised Badelj on several occasions.
He’d be the ideal replacement as Gerson is heading to LOSC Lille today for a medical, moving on loan with option to buy for €18m.
Milan had been favourites for Badelj a few months ago, as he'd like to reunite with former Fiorentina Coach Vincenzo Montella.
