Milan Badelj says the Champions League ‘is a concrete objective, not a dream’ for Fiorentina.

La Viola face a real test to their top three aspirations on Friday when they travel to face Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

The two teams are currently locked on 53 points in third place and Badelj believes they can maintain their push until the end of the season.

“Fiorentina is a romantic team, the daughter of the city,” he said to Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We’re a little work of art in the midst of all the monuments that the whole world loves.

 “Champions League? Fiorentina can reach this goal, which would be fantastic given the strength of our rivals.

“Roma, Napoli and Inter have great economic power but on the pitch they aren’t far away. Third place is a concrete objective, not a dream.”
