Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma has received his first call-up to the Italy Under-21 side.

The 16-year-old has broken into the Rossoneri first-team in recent weeks, replacing Diego Lopez in the starting XI.

Azzurrini CT Luigi Di Biagio has clearly been impressed, rewarding Donnarumma with a first call-up.

Juventus’ Daniele Rugani retains his place in the squad despite a lack of playing time, and will likely renew his partnership with Alessio Romagnoli.
