Roma and Juventus have been linked with Memphis Depay, but it is now reported the Barcelona forward could be heading to Atletico Madrid instead.

The Netherlands international was all set to become a free agent at the end of the season and could be allowed to leave in January for a very small fee, as the Blaugrana want to get his salary off their books.

Juve were interested over the summer and failed to agree to his wage demands, while Roma hoped Jose Mourinho’s presence could get Depay to lower his expectations.

According to Sportitalia, Sky Sport Italia and more, Atletico Madrid have asked Barcelona for Depay’s availability as a replacement for Joao Felix.

That is because Chelsea have agreed a six-month loan deal with Atleti for Joao Felix and he is expected to undergo a medical tomorrow.

The cost of that loan is going to be circa €13m for the six months, but there is no option to make the move permanent.
