There are reports Atletico Madrid have agreed to sign Alessio Cerci from Torino with the aid of an investment fund.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Atleti won the race with Milan and Arsenal to snatch the Italy international.

Rated at €20m, it’s claimed the Spaniards will take Cerci on loan with an option to buy funded by an English investment company.

Atletico Madrid had previously seen an offer of €12m plus another €2m in add-ons rejected.

Torino President Urbano Cairo revealed this weekend Cerci had only a “50-50 chance of leaving this summer.

“There are only a few days left and we did what the player asked by listening to proposals, but so far the right offer hasn’t come in.

“If it does arrive, I won’t be the one to clip his wings. I am tempted to follow Fiorentina’s lead when they took Juan Cuadrado off the market.”
