Atalanta striker Sam Lammers is reportedly set for a medical with Glasgow Rangers in Scotland tomorrow morning.

According to news agency Ansa, the deal has been struck and he will make the move on Wednesday.

It is set to be a permanent transfer worth in the region of €4m (£3.5m).

The 26-year-old was signed from PSV Eindhoven for €8m in the summer of 2020, but failed to make an impact in Serie A.

He went on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt, Empoli and Sampdoria, but struggled to get many goals.

Lammers made 33 Serie A appearances this season between Empoli and Samp, finding the net twice with two assists.

Atalanta have already found a replacement, picking up Michel Adopo as a free agent once his contract with Torino has expired on June 30.

Lammers isn’t the only Serie A player of interest to Rangers, as they are also said to be in talks with Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers.
