According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Newcastle seem no longer interested in Marcelo Brozovic, but Inter are ready to sell for €25m, bring in Sergej Milinkovic-Savic or, more realistically, Davide Frattesi.

The Croatia international is under contract at the Stadio Meazza until June 2026, but Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are ready to listen to offers for the 30-year-old who is no longer ‘untouchable.’

According to Gazzetta, Inter are open to selling Brozovic for €25m in the summer.

Intermediaries working on behalf of Newcastle had reportedly made contact with Inter and the player over the last few weeks but are not expected to make an offer anytime soon. According to the report, the Magpies ‘seem to have withdrawn’ from the race to sign Brozo, but this doesn’t mean they won’t consider making an offer later in the transfer window.

According to the report, a couple of Saudi clubs have recently shown interest in Brozovic, despite Inter’s denials.

If Brozovic leaves, Lazio‘s Milinkovic-Savic will become Inter’s priority target, but the Serbia international has a high price tag, so Frattesi, Sassuolo, looks like a more realistic target.

The Italy international said on Tuesday, during a press conference attended by Football Italia, that Nicolò Barella is one of his role models and that, if he leaves Sassuolo, he will prioritise a move to another Serie A club.
