The Ghanaian has been linked with a free transfer to Inter or Galatasaray, though there has also been speculation that he could renew his current deal.

Having come off the bench in last night’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League, the 29-year-old discussed his future post-match with Premium Sport.

“For six years I’ve been playing in this great team,” Asamoah said.

“We work every day to help the group, I do it and my teammates do it. We achieved a win against a young and quality team, I could see from the bench that we were too hurried looking for a goal.

“What the boss [Max Allegri] asked from me also changed the formation, we managed possession better with four at the back.

“My contract? I’m happy here in Turin, I’ve never had problems with anyone. I just want to work, I’ve never talked about my contract because I don’t want distractions.

“This team allowed me to win important things and gave me everything.”
