Today the defender’s funeral will be held in Florence, with players, Coaches and directors from across Italian football to pay their final respects.

In addition thousands of fans are gathering in the Piazza outside, while many more will pay their tributes when the hearse travels past the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
No fans will be allowed in to the Basilica di Santa Croce, while media will be allowed only in Piazza Santa Croce and Via Antonio Magliabechi.
