Juventus midfielder Alberto Aquilani insists that Sunday's match against Lazio does not represent a personal derby despite his past with Roma.

The 26-year-old Italy international came through the ranks at Roma, playing seven seasons for his hometown club.

He joined Liverpool on loan this summer after a disappointing first year at Anfield with Liverpool.

"The match against Lazio isn't a derby, no," he said. "I play for Juve and now my derby is against Torino.

"The match against Lazio isn't a derby, no," he said. "I play for Juve and now my derby is against Torino.

"Sure if we go and bring up the past again, this is a different game with respect to the others.

"Reja's side are certainly a surprise, but not a flash in the pan. I am convinced that they can cause a lot of bother until the end of the season.

"We got an important win in Catania. It shows that we are alive and that we can fight for the Scudetto."
