Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has ruled himself out of the running to become Italy boss after Brazil 2014.

Cesare Prandelli is expected to return to club football following the World Cup and Ancelotti is one of numerous tacticians linked with the role.

“You never know what will happen, but right now I like coaching on a daily basis,” Ancelotti told Sky Sport Italia.

“My heir? There are a lot of good Coaches around right now, but personally speaking I do like Vincenzo Montella.

“I like how his Fiorentina side play and I like how he deals with the media.”

Meanwhile, Milan could also be looking for a new man in charge once Massimiliano Allegri’s contract expires in June.

“A return to Milan? Why not? I’d always say yes to Milan,” Ancelotti noted.

He also thinks Clarence Seedorf, who is still playing, could potentially become a great on the bench seeing as he has been linked with the Diavolo hotseat.

“Those of us who played as midfielders in their career find the step to coaching easier. In my opinion, Seedorf can do well.”

The Italian also dismissed suggestions that Xabi Alonso could be on his way to Juventus. “No, he’s happy with us and is too important for Real Madrid.”
