While an immediate change on the bench has been ruled out by the club’s hierarchy, this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport believes Montella’s long-term future is far from secure.

It’s possible both Conte and Ancelotti will be available next summer, with both having been contacted by the Diavolo in the past.

Chelsea manager Conte admitted yesterday that he misses Italy, and that he’ll return to Serie A one day, and Milan could look to him to turn them into Scudetto winners as he did at Juventus.

However, there’s also the shadow of Ancelotti hanging over Montella, with the Rossoneri legend almost certain to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Former CEO Adriano Galliani tried to convince the Coach to return to San Siro in 2015 and was rejected, but the situation has changed and Carletto could now be interested.
