The striker was involved in a dramatic bust-up yesterday after skipping the second of a double training session.

There were reports that the row could even see Eto’o leave the club, but the Cameroonian has trained with his Blucerchiati teammates this morning.

However, Calciomercato reports that a departure could still be imminent for the former Inter forward.

The website states that Samp Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is demanding an apology from the 33-year-old, in order to avoid being undermined in the eyes of the rest of the squad.

Should Eto’o refuse, Calciomercato states that he and his agent are considering two huge offers from abroad.

New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League – the second tier of US football – are believed to be interested.

The Cosmos are interested in expanding into MLS, and the capture of Eto’o alongside current stars Raul and Marcos Senna could be a way of raising the club’s profile.

In addition, Chinese Super League side Shanghai East Asia are said to be interested.

The club is coached by former Lazio and Roma tactician Sven Goran Eriksson, and the Chinese top flight has been an attractive destination for players from Europe, with Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka and Alberto Gilardino all moving there.

Despite playing for Everton and Sampdoria this season, Eto’o would not be ineligible for the Cosmos or Shanghai, as both leagues operate on different calendars to the Premier League and Serie A.
