Milan reserve goalkeeper Marco Amelia will not be packing his bags at the end of the campaign.

Amelia, part of Italy’s 2006 World Cup winning squad, has been linked with a number of sides – including hometown outfit Roma.

“His contract talks and he is tied to Milan until June 2014,” agent Carlo Pallavicino told Milan News. “He will therefore remain with the Rossoneri.”

Amelia, 30, has played in just nine Serie A games this season given that Christian Abbiati has been Massimiliano Allegri’s preferred choice.

However, Abbiati’s future is in doubt as well as the 35-year-old’s agreement will expire at the end of the present campaign.
