Chelsea goalkeeper Marco Amelia says ‘things weren’t right from the start at Milan’ and criticises Juventus Coach Max Allegri.

The 33-year-old departed San Siro after four seasons in the summer of July 2014, playing for a string of lower league sides before surprisingly joining the Premier League giants in October.

The Italy international struggled to nail down a regular starting spot while with the Rossoneri and spoke of his unrest while at the club.

“Things weren’t right for me from the beginning at Milan, in order to play I had to hope for an injury to Christian Abbiati,” he told Libero.

“For a while I was first-choice but then Allegri dropped me for no reason.

“There was no communication with him, I wanted to be sold but Galliani asked me to stay.

“In January 2014 I was going to leave, but Seedorf asked me to stay.

“Clarence for me is a maestro, one of the greatest ever.”
