The Rossoneri fought back to win 2-1 this evening, a good way to prepare for Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final.

“We’ve got to stop thinking that we can make mistakes, because then unconsciously the idea gets into your head that you can afford to lose games,” said the midfielder.

“Barcelona are the strongest side in the world, it really doesn’t take a magician to tell you that. It will be a very important and difficult match, but also one that will fire us up.

“The Blaugrana have so many weapons at their disposal that we must all work to our very limits, because individuals alone cannot stop them.”

There was bad news when Thiago Silva limped off just 10 minutes into the Roma game with a thigh injury and Massimiliano Allegri already confirmed he won’t be fit in time to face Barcelona.

“That is a heavy blow for us,” added Ambrosini.
