Former Juventus teammates David Trezeguet and Amauri are in competition over a move to Napoli.
The Azzurri have admitted that they will sign a new striker and the former Turin colleagues are possible targets.
Trezeguet, 34, is available for transfer after asking to be released by Hercules less than a year after his arrival.
"Napoli would be a good solution," he told the Corriere dello Sport. "They could give me a new stimulus, allow me to enjoy myself again – even with a part-time role.

"I'd like to return to Italy and demonstrate that I can still have a say in things."
Trezeguet, nor Amauri, would be guaranteed a starting shirt as they would primarily be in the squad as a back-up to Edinson Cavani.
Amauri, meanwhile, is an option for the Azzurri given that he is set to be made available by Juventus this summer.
The Brazilian, who has a year left on his Old Lady contract, will return to Juve after spending the last six months on loan at Parma.
However, Amauri's €4m a year salary would be a major obstacle for Napoli and Parma, who are keen to keep the striker.
