Amauri is refusing to panic despite the fact that he has yet to score in nine League games for Parma this season.

The striker, who grabbed 10 in 33 top-flight ties for the Gialloblu last term, hasn’t rippled the net in 646 minutes of action.

“I am a forward and I live for goals,” he told TV Parma. “At the same time I am calm, I am 33-years-old so I have experience.

“I know that those moments come along, apart for maybe the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo…

“What leaves me relaxed is the fact that the fans don’t only judge me for the goals I score. They appreciate me for what I am, for what I do during games and what I give and will give for this shirt.

“I help the others in the team to find space, helping the team and the midfielders to find the holes to break into attack and shoot.

“I am calm and know that the goals will return.”

Amauri is also certain that boss Roberto Donadoni will continue giving him opportunities in the side.

“The Coach knows what I think and I know what he thinks,” added the former Palermo, Juventus and Fiorentina man. “We have a great relationship.”
