The Bianconeri were desperate for a positive result against their rivals following their Champions League elimination earlier in the week, and the team responded in front of their fans at the Allianz Stadium in Turin. Goals from Adrien Rabiot and Nicolo Fagioli secured all three points for Juventus, taking them to 5th in the league table, leapfrogging Inter and Roma.
La Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted how Allegri and Juventus managed to find the victory without their star striker, commenting how “without Vlahovic they find their first success against Inzaghi’s Inter.”
