“We know that we’re going into an important match against a team that scored 11 goals in its last two games, but the right result can get us through to the Round of 16,” Allegri told Mediaset Infinity.

“There is no lack of unity in the locker room. We went into this training retreat, which was not punitive, and made the most of the extra time to study some things that weren’t going well,” continued the coach.
“That game against Sassuolo could’ve been the big step forward, instead we lost at the 95th minute and that affected the way we started against Verona too.
“It’s not an alibi and we need to get out of this situation. It’s a different competition this evening, it’s the Champions League, but we mustn’t ruin all the good work we’ve done so far.
“Hopefully, Alvaro Morata can break his Champions League duck tonight and that will unblock him overall.”
