After their pre-season tour wrapped up with a win over South China today, the Coach spoke to the Old Lady’s official website about the season ahead.

“It was a good test today,” Allegri noted.

“It wasn’t easy to play in this temperature, but the lads were committed. We’ve completed the first part of pre-season without any injuries and that’s a good sign.

“Now on Tuesday we’ll get everyone together [some players are in Vinovo after international duty] and we’ll start the Juventus season.

“It’s a very important season, as they all are for Juventus, because we start having to achieve all the objectives we’re aiming for.

“We have five new players who we have to integrate with different characteristics and different ways of working.

“We have the strength to start again immediately and with great humility, because you can take things a little too much for granted and last year we paid a dear price for two months.

“This year there are several motivations, but we definitely have to be ready to prepare for the season and get to March competing in the Champions League, the League and the Coppa Italia.”
