Juventus are hoping to confirm their spot next month in FIFA’s new Club World Cup, something that could prove decisive for the futures of Massimiliano Allegri and Adrien Rabiot.

FIFA have decided to completely shake up their Club World Cup competition, seemingly unconcerned about the already packed schedule of top teams in modern football and resulting ramifications, and are preparing to host 32 teams in a one-month long competition in the summer of 2025.

The new Club World Cup, which is set to be scheduled every four years in between the World Cup and European Championship, also carries lucrative financial incentives for clubs, with participation alone worth upwards of €50m.

Page 20 of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how Juventus are on the cusp of confirming their qualification to the 2025 Club World Cup, just needing to beat out Lazio and Napoli for the final spot available for Italian clubs.

As things stand, the Old Lady are set to qualify; Lazio would need to win the Champions League to take the spot, whilst Napoli need to reach the semi-finals of the competition this campaign.

Considering Juventus’ financial health and the state of their project, qualification to the Club World Cup would likely prove decisive in guaranteeing the futures of Allegri and Rabiot.
