Massimiliano Allegri admits tomorrow’s Champions League match against Maccabi Haifa is the ‘most important’ for Juventus and insists the Bianconeri have not solved all their problems with a 3-0 win over Bologna.

The Bianconeri host Maccabi at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow and are desperate for a victory, having already lost against PSG and Benfica.

“Surely we will change something. We have a packed fixture list. Almost everyone is back so I can rotate a bit also during the game,” the Italian tactician said at a press conference as quoted by Ilbianconero.com.

“I must decide on the line-up, but the most important thing is to do even better than on Sunday, both in attack and defence.”

Arek Milik trained in the gym this morning due to muscle fatigue and won’t start tomorrow.

“It’s just muscle fatigue, so he’ll go to the bench, hoping that I won’t be forced to use him,” said Allegri.

“We must win, but we don’t need anxiety. Games are lengthy and we should not do too much as we did against Bologna. One game does not solve all the problems. Hopefully, we’ll win tomorrow.

“It’s not an easy game. Maccabi played well in Lisbon and played an even match with PSG. They press high and it’s going to tough; we have to respect them.

“It’s useless to think about the other teams if we don’t win both games against Maccabi. Tomorrow is our most important Champions League game.”

Angel Di Maria will start tomorrow. The ex-PSG winger is facing a two-match ban in Serie A, so he missed Sunday’s 3-0 win over Bologna and won’t be available this coming Saturday when the Bianconeri meet Milan at San Siro.

“Di Maria feels much better and trained even more than the others lately. I am convinced that he will put in a great performance tomorrow,” Allegri confirmed.

“Perhaps we could change the system as we’ll have players with different characteristics on the pitch.

Juventus won their first game in one month on Sunday, beating Bologna 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium.

They have won three games from 10 across all competitions this season. Allegri has always qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 in his career, but his Juventus side will need at least 10 points in the last four games to go beyond the group stage this term.

  1. This man has no shame!!! He changes his statements more often than his underpants!! I wish he could get lost and leave..getting sick of his sight!!

  2. Yeah, I thought it was the Benfica match at home.

These statements do more harm than good anyway, so maybe stop.

  3. CALMAAA!!!

Give PhD Max the benefit of the doubt. Forget about the yearly humiliation the 7/9 have endured for nearly 30 years. Forget about Salernitana and Monza whoppers. The legend of lets keep it simple, boring, one step at a time, padlock the door and stay the course with the back, back, down, down is an astute reader of the game from the 19th Century.

  4. Win, lose or draw the Allegrisaurus has nothing to prove. Nobody reads, writes and studies prime mate coma calcio from the bronze age better than donkey Max.
