Max Allegri explains his decisions as Juventus take on Inter with Leonardo Bonucci benched and Dusan Vlahovic injured, revealing Federico Chiesa can play, but Angel Di Maria ‘has only 20 minutes.’

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium at 19.45 GMT.

There is only one point separating the old rivals, although they are further off the top spots than they would like at this stage of the season.

Leonardo Bonucci is on the bench with Federico Gatti, as Gleison Bremer makes his comeback from a muscular problem.

“It’s a decision based on the game. Bremer is coming back, I preferred him to Leo, but this is how squad rotation works, especially when I have a lot of good options in defence like Gatti,” Allegri told DAZN.

Fabio Miretti and Nicolò Fagioli are having their first ever Serie A editions of the Derby d’Italia, so has the coach given these young youth academy products any advice?

“I hope it is the first of a long series, as they have what it takes to make that happen. They don’t have much experience, but they do have technique and above all enthusiasm.”

Vlahovic is in the stands, as the inflammation of the hip area has prevented him from making a full recovery.

“Unfortunately, Vlahovic has not been well for a week. He tried, but he has these pains and I thought it not even worth bringing him on the bench. Chiesa has a bit more chance of featuring, Di Maria has only about 20 minutes in his legs.”

The 7/9 were very nervy and it was walking pace back back before the 1st goal. It happens. A broken clock is right once a year and PhD Max lives to fight another day. I cannot wait for the EL experiments.
