The Rossoneri were held to a 1-1 draw despite Genoa being down to 10 men for almost an hour, as Mattia Perin saved Mario Balotelli’s penalty.
Although Milan are without a win in five Serie A games for the first time in six years, Allegri seems to be safe from the threat of dismissal.
“We’ve got to get out of this negative moment all together. I can say with certainty the team has always given its all on the field.
“I spoke to the President after the game and he was satisfied with the team’s performance,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“I won’t talk about my future any more, as it has become a boring topic. I think I’ve done a good job so far, though we’re lacking results this season. We need to get back on track in this difficult moment.
“The team did everything it had to in order to win, creating chance upon chance and allowing Genoa just one shot on target throughout the 90 minutes – and that was a penalty.
“Of course Balotelli was demoralised by the penalty miss, but he did good things and is an important player for us. After the spot-kick, Genoa put 10 men behind the ball and there wasn’t much space.”
The teams weren’t allowed to leave San Siro until long after midnight, when Kaka and Christian Abbiati met with 300 protesting ultras who were blocking the exits.
