All Italian sports papers preview tonight’s meeting between Milan and Tottenham in the Champions League, saying that the outcome of the match will have an impact on the futures of Stefano Pioli and Antonio Conte.

The Rossoneri visit the North Londoners in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tonight after February’s 1-0 win at San Siro.

“Nobody can fail,” wrote Gazzetta on Wednesday’s front page, discussing the futures of Conte and Pioli.

Pioli is under contract at San Siro until 2025, while Conte’s deal with Tottenham expires at the end of the season. Multiple reports claim the Italian tactician could return to Serie A at the end of the season with The Times reporting Inter have already approached their former manager.

Il Corriere dello Sport writes that Pioli and Conte will ‘play for the quarter-finals and the confirmation’ while Tuttosport maintains that tonight’s match is worth ‘much more’ than the qualification.

“Milan, bring Conte back to Italy,” wrote the Turin-based paper in the article previewing tonight’s fixture in London, adding that if Spurs fail to progress in the competition, Conte will leave at the end of the season, potentially returning to Serie A.

Pioli, on the other hand, may not leave the Rossoneri if Milan are eliminated, but the club could re-consider his future if the defending Serie A champions miss out on a top-four finish in Serie A this season.
