Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker said they must “always have this attitude” after stunning Serie A leaders Napoli with a 4-2 result.

He had conceded an early Lorenzo Insigne strike, but his teammates fought back for victory at the Stadio San Paolo with Cengiz Under, Edin Dzeko’s brace and Diego Perotti.

“It was a fine performance and a convincing victory that we played with intelligence, making the most of the opportunities we created,” the Brazilian told reporters in the mixed zone.

“We stopped the most prolific attack in Serie A. It’s always important for a goalkeeper to do his best and I am happy to help the team. I don’t always manage to do what I’d like, but I work every day to improve.

Napoli had a lot of shots on target, but they weren’t clear-cut chances, always deflected or scuffed. That’s important for a goalkeeper and I thank my teammates for their defending.”

Alisson was asked if this victory effectively kept Coach Eusebio Di Francesco in his job.

“We all believe in his work and the performance proves that. The team must always have this attitude. There’s a long road ahead of us, we have our objectives, know our strength and must now be more consistent.”
