Alexis Sanchez is not in the Inter squad for today’s friendly with AS Monaco and refuses €4m to terminate his contract early.

The Chile international had already resisted a sale last season and ended up making a strong contribution to their success in both the Supercoppa Italiana and the Coppa Italia.

However, he is not part of coach Simone Inzaghi’s plans and the club is eager to get the €7m per season net salary off their books.

This is why Alexis Sanchez is not even in the Nerazzurri squad for tonight’s friendly with Monaco.

According to FCInter1908.it, the player is trying to make this as difficult as possible, refusing a €4m pay-out to terminate his contract a year early.

He wants an even bigger chunk of the wages and the more the situation drags on, the more months Inter still have to pay him for not playing.

It also means Inter cannot make room for Paulo Dybala until Alexis Sanchez has left.

That €7m per season net salary is also why Inter were able to sign the Chilean free of charge from Manchester United in 2020 after the initial loan spell.

  1. If Inter have to pay him 5 million just to get rid of him and his 7 million in wages, then why not just keep him? They won’t get another player of his quality for less than 2 million

  2. Thats 7 mil net salary. Sanches takes home 7 but Inter pays much more when taxes are considered. So even 5 to make him go away is much less than paying his contract for a season

  3. He needs to learn from vidal, mans really greedy – just accept a mutual cancelation and move on with your life
