PSG are reportedly hoping to tempt Milan out of the race for Renato Sanches by giving them Georginio Wijnaldum on loan instead.

The two clubs have been battling on the transfer market all summer for Renato Sanches, with the Rossoneri seemingly offering more to LOSC and yet the player pushing for Paris.

Sky Sport Italia and Sport Mediaset believe a key could be PSG providing Milan with a suitable temporary replacement, therefore helping them to back off the Portugal international.

That figure would be Wijnaldum, who is not part of their plans at the Parc des Princes under new coach Christophe Galtier.

The 31-year-old Dutch international joins PSG as a free agent after leaving Liverpool in the summer of 2021.

He has made 38 competitive appearances for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

An issue may well be his salary, so Milan might ask to share the wage load during his loan spell.

Wijnaldum has already been linked with a role at Roma under Jose Mourinho.

  1. Do it. Very good player. Sanches will be available and cheap next summer after sitting on a bench in Paris for a season.

  2. Not sure how much truth this story has. In essence, on paper it would be a good move for Milan. It doesn’t really fill the void left by Kessie but it will give us more creativity and he would link up really well with Origi (played together at Liverpool) and in theory he would link up well from midfield with Giroud and ibra. Anyhoooo I think this story is BS.

  3. Sanchez has already said he wants to go to PSG, WIJNALDUM would be a good second choice, even idrissa gueye would be good – he wont wear the rainbow on any shirt as he didnt last yr – he wants out = practising muslim

  4. Articles like this show how easy it is to make the general public believe anything that’s written down lol.

Just shows how easily led people are.
