Spezia attacker Kevin Agudelo said he hopes to score against his former club Fiorentina when the two sides clash tomorrow.

Agudelo spent six months on loan at the Artemio Franchi last term but returned to Genoa last summer before he moved on loan to newly promoted Spezia.

He has played 17 times in Serie A this term and now the 22-year-old wants to prove himself against the Viola on Friday night.

“I hope to score at the Franchi tomorrow,” he told Il Secolo XIX. “Now, I want to show the Viola that I can do a lot more on the pitch than what I did in Florence.

“I’m playing in a new role, I would like to score my first goal as a striker against Fiorentina.”

Agudelo said he’s happy at Spezia and revealed coach Vincenzo Italiano asked him to play as a striker.

“I’m happy, I never expected to perform so well,” he admitted. “It was the coach who asked me to play up front.

“When he asked me if I felt like it, I replied immediately that I would give my all and that I would try my best.”

Agudelo only played three competitive games for Fiorentina last term, but has already played 21 consecutive games for the Aquilotti this term.
