Juventus President Andrea Agnelli comments on his ambitions for the new Juventus, returning the Calciopoli titles and Alex Del Piero's contract.
“These have been difficult months of profound transformation,” he told Tuttosport seven months after taking over the club.
“The first building block was director general Beppe Marotta and we based our sporting rebirth on his arrival. We both agreed Gigi Del Neri was the man for the bench and I can guarantee for the moment I am extremely satisfied.”

Out of the Europa League in the group phase, President Agnelli won't comment on their specific ambitions.
“The Scudetto is in the Juventus DNA and remains our prime objective, but let's not forget that last season we finished 27 points off the top and with a depressed squad. Promising the Scudetto creates huge expectation, but we only aim to go for the victory in every game, then see where we are.
“The Europa League elimination did irritate me. It was down to inexperience in the first games, lack of determination in the middle matches and an anomalous meeting under the snow in Poland. To recreate a winning mentality, we need to start winning again.”
The Calciopoli trial is under way in Naples and the result could prompt Juventus to take back the 2005 and 2006 Scudetti that were revoked.
“We presented a dossier to FIGC President Giancarlo Abete. Soon enough we will start to demand an explanation. As for the Napoli trial, if the club is cleared of illegality then we will consider action to have the Scudetti reassigned.”
Agnelli hinted a January signing could be on the cards as Juve deal with their injury crisis, but left question marks over captain Del Piero, whose contract expires in the summer.
“If there are favourable conditions, then we can make investments in January,” continued the President.
“I have known Alex forever, so he has all my respect and admiration. At the right moment we'll sit around a table and evaluate the future.
“He is 36 years old, so I'd like to understand from him how he'll be feeling in six months rather than today. In six months, when he'll be only five months away from 37. I don't think there will be problems…”
