Simone Zaza’s agent says “it’d be nice if he could get more space” and he isn’t inferior to his Juventus teammates.

The Italian international has been used sparingly by Coach Massimiliano Allegri this season, but has still managed five goals in 14 appearances all competitions – with only four starts.

“Obviously it’d be nice if he could get more space, as he’s proved to be a player worthy of Juventus,” Christian Maifredi told ItaSportPress.

“Obviously it’d be nice if he could get more space, as he’s proved to be a player worthy of Juventus,” Christian Maifredi told ItaSportPress.

“And, allow me a personal opinion, he doesn’t lack anything compared to his teammates in that position, in comparison [Alvaro] Morata, [Mario] Mandzukic and [Paulo] Dybala.

“Simone has different characteristics and is definitely a top player.

“Could he leave in the summer? We don’t know yet, we have to wait because Juve are fighting for some important goals, and then there’s the European Championships.

“I think the club can only make a judgement after July 15. The player is liked by all the executives, as shown by many things, not least his contract.”

Zaza has made no secret of his desire to go to the European Championships, can he be an important player for Antonio Conte’s Italy?

“Of course, Conte doesn’t have another striker with Simone’s characteristics. He’s powerful, acrobatic, technical, quick and has great character, as Conte likes.

“For me he’s the best Italian striker at the moment, but he’ll do his talking on the pitch.”
