However, agent Andrea D’Amico has dampened the speculation by saying the move has hit ‘a red light’.
“It would’ve been possible if (Edgar) Barreto had gone to Fiorentina,” he told Sport Italia.

“But Sporting want to keep him because they’re top of the league and still in the Europa League.
“For now there’s a red light. There is a small chance, I don’t want to make suggestions.”
