The 19-year-old Hungarian midfielder is expected to leave Salzburg this summer and already commands a €30m asking price.

“His position right now is very simple,” agent Matyas Esterhazy told Tuttomercatoweb.

“We want to finish the season in Austria and then see what happens in the top five European Leagues. We’ll know more over the next few weeks. We are thinking not of short or long-term, but of the right project. Naturally, the chance to play regularly is a necessity in our decision.

“At the end of the day, the player makes his choice. If the timing is right, Serie A and Italian football is one of the most probable options, obviously.”

Lazio and Milan are leading the race, but Roma and Atalanta are also showing interest in Szoboszlai.

Abroad, Premier League outfits Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked.

“It’ll be complicated to define anyone’s price-tag at the moment, as the market has never been so unstable and the coronavirus pandemic will continue to have repercussions over time.”
