Jose Mauri’s agent insists the young midfielder will not be loaned out by Milan this season.

It was suggested today that the 19-year-old would be sent out on loan to make way for Axel Witsel or Roberto Soriano, but his representative denies that’s the case.

“No-one has told as about this possibility,” Dino Zampacorta told MilanNews.

“As far as I know, Mauri will stay at Milan. There haven’t been phonecalls with Milan or other clubs, he’s training hard to win a starting shirt.

“Obviously he’s not going to be a leader of the midfield straight away, he has to work and improve a lot.

“Jose is not even at 50 per cent of his peak fitness, he’ll be in top condition after September then he won’t stop until the end of the season, he’s still charging up.

“Returning to these rumours, Milan have not spoken about sending him out on loan, he has an excellent relationship with [Coach Sinisa] Mihajlovic, and he’s working to improve every day.”
