Milan Badelj’s agent believes Milan can’t afford to sign his client in January.

The Rossoneri tried to sign the Croatian in the summer, but were unable to get a deal done with the Viola.

It’s expected that the 27-year-old will leave either in January or the summer, but his representative doesn’t expect him to join the Diavolo.

“We’ve talked to a number of teams interested in Badelj, but at the moment there’s nothing really concrete,” Dejan Joksmiovic revealed, speaking to Corriere dello Sport.

“I don’t think there will be any big news up until the third or fourth of January. I think right now Inter and Milan can’t afford the €12m-15m which it would take to buy him from Fiorentina.

“Fiorentina have never officially said that they’ll definitely sell Badelj, and it’s also possible that he’ll stay until the summer… or even further.

“[But] it’s almost impossible to renew his contract.”
