Federico Fazio will fly to Italy tonight to sign for Roma, the Tottenham Hotspur defender’s agent confirms.

The Argentinian is extremely close to officially joining the Giallorossi, who are in need of defensive reinforcements after Antonio Rudiger and Mario Rui were injured.

“I can’t tell you the formula of the transfer, but we’re there,” Salva Sanchez told LaRoma24.

“Tonight we’ll fly from London to Italy. The first contacts weren’t recent, Franco Baldini played a key role in this operation.”
