Inter target Jonathan Calleri’s Italian agent says the Boca Juniors forward is “ready” for a move to Serie A.

The Nerazzurri cannot sign any more non-EU players this season, but it has been suggested that the 22-year-old could be loaned out for six months.

“He’s ready to make the big jump from Argentina to Europe,” Angelo Paradiso, who represents the player in Europe, explained to Radio Olympia.

“He’s a modern forward, he can play either as a target man or a second striker. He’s fast, technical and has good footballing intelligence.

“Italy is more than a possibility, Calleri is on the shortlist of all the top sides in our Serie A. Someone has already bid, but the first offer wasn’t considered high enough.

“His price tag is around €14m, and his contract with Boca Juniors at the moment is worth around €2m [per season] so those are the parameters.

“Jonathan has already expressed his admiration for Inter, but there’s not only Inter.

Lazio? They’d be ideal. The Biancocelesti have problems up-front, while on the wing they have players of great quality who would compliment Calleri wonderfully.

“We know that [sporting director] Igli Tare is aware of him, if he and [President Claudio] Lotito want to talk then our door is always open.”
