President Aurelio De Laurentiis looks forward to Napoli’s friendly with Liverpool this evening but doesn’t expect too much from his side.

The Partenopei face the Premier League side at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, with a sell-out crowd anticipated.

And speaking during one of his regular true-or-false interviews with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, the film producer described the expected attendance as ‘extraordinary.’

“There will be 57,000 people there. It’s extraordinary because normally friendlies are not even taken into consideration,” De Laurentiis commented.

“But Napoli are Napoli and Liverpool were Champions League finalists.

“People continue to organise matches abroad that you can’t follow, as they are at impossible times for Europeans.

“But we have arranged this match in an exemplary way.”

De Laurentiis added that despite the prestigious friendly, the priority for his side is to ensure they are ready for their Serie A opener with Lazio in two weeks time.

“Obviously we can’t expect too much of Napoli due to our absences, some new arrivals and we don’t have much energy in their legs.

“But we will try and we understand that whoever plays is in view to being ready for the Lazio match.”

De Laurentiis was asked whether he believes Lorenzo Insigne, Arkadiusz Milik and Simone Verdi will all start together up front this evening.

“False, in my opinion. Ancelotti should respond to that, but he will make a lot of changes in this match.”
