The highly-sought after teenage talent Matija Popovic has arrived in Campania and is understood to be undergoing a medical ahead of a permanent transfer to Napoli.
Popovic was one of the hottest properties on the January market for a host of top clubs in Serie A. Milan thought they had been close to securing his services, only for the deal to collapse over personal terms.
Juventus had also tried to swoop in, but Napoli are now just one step away from getting the deal over the line.
Upon the completion of his medical and the signing of his documents, Popovic is expected to be handed a five-year contract, which will run until the summer of 2029.
It has also been reported by numerous outlets, including transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, that Popovic will be immediately sent out on loan to fellow Serie A side Frosinone for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
