Milan’s 3-1 victory over Roma last weekend proved to be the final nail in the coffin for Jose Mourinho, and Stefano Pioli’s men will be hoping for similar success when they visit Udinese at the Stadio Friuli in Serie A on Saturday evening.

Udinese are likely to name a similar side to the one that drew 2-2 with Fiorentina last time out, although Lazar Samardzic could be afforded a rest, with Martin Payero in contention to start in his place.

Milan have the same absentees through injuries and international call-ups as last time out.

Ismael Bennacer and Samuel Chukwueze are on international duty with Algeria and Nigeria respectively, while Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw, Pierre Kalulu, Mattia Caldara and Tomasso Pobega all remain sidelined with injuries.

Yacine Adli is in line to start in midfield again, alongside Tijjani Reijnders and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Cristian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao will make up the attacking numbers.

Kick-off is set for 19.45 GMT.

Udinese (3-5-1-1): Okoye; Ferreira, Perez, Kristensen; Ebosele, Lovric, Walace, Payero, Kamara; Pereyra; Lucca.

Milan (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, T. Hernandez; Adli; Reijnders; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud.
