SportItalia suggest that Inter have sent Atletico Madrid their first concrete offer for Roma target Alvaro Morata.
The Nerazzurri are now in the market for a new striker following their decision to give up on Romelu Lukaku, who upset the club by negotiating with Juventus and being distant in recent weeks.
Inter have identified a handful of interesting targets including Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun, but the American striker would not come cheap, pushing the club to consider other options.
As reported by SportItalia, Inter have presented a €15m offer to Atletico for Morata, which is around €5m lower than his price tag.
Media reports are split regarding the 30-year-old’s release clause, with the club suggesting that it sits at around €20m and the player’s entourage claiming that they have a document allowing him to leave for around €10-11m.
Roma met with Morata’s entourage today to clarify the costs of a deal and Tiago Pinto will now talk to the management to understand the next steps.
