Tijjani Reijnders admitted that he accepted an offer for Milan ‘after the first call’ as he prepares to complete his move from AZ Alkmaar.

The 24-year-old Dutch midfielder has now left Amsterdam to head to the Lombardy capital, ready to undergo his medicals before putting pen to paper on his contract with the Rossoneri.

Reijnders will become Milan’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window, following Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero and Marco Sportiello.

Intercepted by MilanNews.it at the airport in Amsterdam, Reijnders was first asked if it was easy to accept Milan’s offer.

“Of course, I’m very happy.”

He was then asked how long it took him to accept the Rossoneri’s offer.

“After the first call. Forza Milan”

The 24-year-old Reijnders will join Milan in a deal worth around €20m plus add-ons and will sign a five-year contract reportedly worth around €1.7m net per season. He helped push through the move by giving up on a €3m bonus owed to him by AZ.
