Rick Karsdorp has been excluded from the Roma squad after Jose Mourinho accused him of ‘betraying’ his teammates with a poor attitude and is linked with Juventus.

The game with Torino kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 14.00 GMT.

Karsdorp has been in training over the last few days and is clearly not injured, but his exclusion felt inevitable after the midweek controversy.

Following his substitute appearance in the 1-1 draw with Sassuolo, Mourinho openly blamed Karsdorp for the equaliser, complaining that an unnamed player had “betrayed his teammates with an unprofessional attitude” and everyone assumed it was the Dutchman.

He is not even on the bench against Torino and it is reported he has already started his Winter vacation with his family, leaving the city this morning.

Mou also said he told this player to “find himself a new club in January” and it looks as if Karsdorp has played his final game for the Giallorossi.

There are already reports that Juventus are interested in making a January swoop for the full-back.
