Roma midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan waved what could be his final goodbye to Giallorossi supporters during Thursday’s trophy celebrations.

The Armenia international, who left the pitch with a thigh injury during Roma’s 1-0 win over Feyenoord in the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday, has agreed to join Inter, according to various reports in Italy.

And, looking a little less enthusiastic than his joyous team-mates, as he waved, he was asked about his future and quickly made it clear he would not engage in any transfer talk.

  1. Roma wasted a lot of time in renewing his contract, now he`s gone.

  2. It’s split for me. He’s had brilliant moments but he can be inconsistent and the injuries are starting to rack up. I’ll miss him as he’s definitely been an influential player. If we can replace him with young talent I wouldn’t be terribly upset. I always liked him though

  3. Easy come, easy go. Too many injuries and far too inconsistent. If he leaves we will replace him with someone younger and better. I must say it is perplexing to me how many old timers Inter signs from us. The one that really had me scratching my head was Kolorov..

  4. Had one good season. The rest was so inconsistent. Thank you for the good momentos Mkhi, but it’s time to move on.

  5. He had less “sick leave” days than Pelle and he had more mileage than any of our midfielders.
It is shame that Roma was not able offer him a similar package…he was carrying this team all season and was extremely consistent when played one of his multiple roles. No one on this time can do what Mhiki was doing.
Team would need make a lot of adjustments in his absence.

  6. Best player for Roma this and last year even though the numbers are not as good this year as he had to play more of a defense mid, he is one player but makes up for two when he is on the field. Also was the most consistent out of all the players on the team with the least amount of mistakes made especially the likes of Pellegrini and Zaniolo who will never be a team player. Just had one injury at the end of the season. By far the most valuable player they have even thought his not even close to his prime days. He will be missed but always on to bigger and better things, now time to win the league.
