Milan fans are not impressed with the coverage of the Serie A title race from Italian media, noticing an imbalance between interviews with Sassuolo and Sampdoria players.
The Rossoneri can win their first Serie A title in 11 years on Sunday. They visit Sassuolo in the last game of the season and a draw would be enough to become Italian champions. On the other hand, Inter face Sampdoria at the Stadio Meazza and must win to retain the Serie A title, hoping to see Milan lose at the Mapei Stadium.
Giampaolo: ‘My time at Milan has nothing to do with Inter-Samp’
Milan fans have been complaining about the coverage of games on Italian media as they see a tendency to push Sassuolo more than Sampdoria.
The Neroverdi director Giovanni Carnevali has released at least two interviews since the start of the week. Coach Alessio Dionisi spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport yesterday and Giacomo Raspadori has also assured Sassuolo will try to win against Milan. Sampdoria, on the other hand, have been way quieter and the only relevant interview was the one with Marco Giampaolo in Il Giornale newspaper today.
Sassuolo: Carnevali reveals truth about Milan’s interest in Berardi
Milan fans think the coverage from Italian media has been unbalanced and Paolo Bertolucci, one of the best Italian tennis players of all time and a Rossoneri supporter, was among those complaining on social media.
“I read, rightly, that Sassuolo will play to win and will give 100%. I have no news of Samp. Are they on a cruise?” he wrote on Twitter.
Leggo, giustamente, che il Sassuolo giocherà per vincere e darà il 100%. Non ho notizie della Samp. È forse in crociera?

Inter-Samp esiste? CONTRO TUTTO E TUTTI. Avanti @acmilan

Italian media are never happy about Milan scudetto push! It’s obvious perhaps they are jealous of Milan’s success on international stage or thereabouts.. in relative to the scudetto they will either support Juve or intermilan… Nevertheless! The rossoneri has silence all critics and football Italia is not exempted.
When has 6, 7 people discussing something become the view of millions of Milan fans?
Milan fans didn’t complain, did you see statements from Curva Sud? Is it trending?
The credentials of the people who put up contents for FI should be checked again, they must be combination of failed students of journalism.
more coverage = more pressure = more nervous = easier for milan to beat them.
Its really amazing to see that Italians can create a wave out of closed water tanks … what is there to moan in this case? ohhhh
@James
Of course, the examples shown in the article are not the only ones on Twitter, they have been used to explain the general feeling of many Milan fans, not all of them. It’s a talking point these days, on social media and ‘real life’ here in Italy. I didn’t write all Milan fans think the same.
Coming from a Milan fan, I didn’t even bother reading this rubbish. Media is running out of topics to talk about the title race and they’re trying every angle to milk this.
It doesn’t mean anything this. What’s next then? I do believe the media, refs, liga have favoured inter but not this way. Milanisiti who are complaining are letting the nerves get to them. Need to chill out.
Guys, you are kidding, right? For decades, the media was OWNED by your Milan president. Milan have zero room to talk about anything to do with the media. Still wish them luck over the weekend, though.
Milan are the darlings of the Italian media (bunga owned half of it) as Liverpool are the darlings of the English media and I cannot see this changing anytime soon.
That’s what I said! It’s just not fair is all.
Despite all this nonsenses Milan ❤️🖤💪🇮🇹💯 will go on and win the scudetto and soon to return to being protagonist in Europe so Italian media will be more jealous
@Abbarich protagonist in Europe ? Milan still have the same squad that couldn’t beat Liverpool b.
Is this really a thing that people care about? As a MIlan supporter who reads a dozen things about the tam each day, this wasn’t even on my radar. Such nonsense.
