Sampdoria coach Marco Giampaolo insists he wasn’t given a proper chance at Milan but ensures the Blucerchiati will put in full commitment against Inter on Sunday.

Sampdoria have already earned Serie A survival ahead of the final game of the season against Inter.

The Nerazzurri must beat the Blucerchiati and hope Milan lose away at Sassuolo to retain the Serie A title. Giampaolo, a former Milan coach, released an interview with Il Giornale, discussing the upcoming Serie A fixture at the Stadio Meazza.

“My rapport with Milan has nothing to do with the present. I am at Sampdoria now and Milan are doing their part. It [coaching Milan] wasn’t a real opportunity for me, I didn’t have enough time there,” he said.

Venezia collected a point against Roma despite being relegated already. We beat Fiorentina, who were fighting for Europe. This season’s results prove that games must be played. Nothing should to be taken for granted because nobody likes to make a bad impression. Games are to be played and England is a reference point in this aspect.”

  1. It’s lucky for Milan that he didn’t have enough time there, otherwise they would have been relegated.

I’ve never seen such awful play from a team. and his performance at other clubs since milan was the same.

Only samp understand him, so they should stick together.

  2. For me it wasn’t about giving time, it’s a good thing Milan didn’t give him a lot of time but I actually lost faith in him when he started doubting himself and his players + system just after the first match and defeat
